All aboard the BAZ BUS!!!
Due to only having a short time in South Africa I didnt want to miss out on seeing as much of the country as I could so I opted for the Baz Bus, a backpackers transportation across the country via mini bus, comfier than you'd think.
We took the long drive through to Durban wher we weaved our way through the Drakensburg National Park, awesome!! Such spectacular scenery.. When in Durban I was taken to my histel, another perk of the good old Baz Bus its door-to-door! The hostel didnt look up to much from the outside but inside, wow! It was so clean and tidy and big! They even had a roof top bar which was a great place to be as the sun was setting!
Durban didnt have a lot to offer and I was disappointed with the beach! I was informed at how nice it was.. NO! With not alot to do and not many people around it was time to move on before Id really got settled..
Next stop Port Elizabeth...
Port Elizabeth offered something more along the lines of what I was looking for. For a start the 99 Mile Beach Lodge was unbelievable!! It was just liked Id want my house!! So comfy and clean and the shower was amazing!!
I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of Port Elizabeth and the laid back attitude (which runs throughout Africa, the joke is: " English have watches, South Africans have time!!")
Nice people, friendly staff, still not many travellers!
