After an awful lot of travelling we have made it back into Bolivia!! The south this time and the town of Tupiza!! This is Butch Cassidy country!! We have just spent 2 beautiful days in Copacabana a beachy town on the edge of Lake Titicaca! The sun shone lots and it was a much welcome break from the hustle and bustle of La Paz!! We did lots of chilling out and at 1 pound a night accomodation wasa cheap little break!! Good food and all the wine you can drink before 10.30 as thats when everyone wanted to go to bed it seemed!! This weekend we have ventured out of La Paz on a 3 day tour of the dessert and salt flats at Uyuni towards the south of Bolivia. Following a 10 hour bus journey from La Paz, Murray, Angie and myself met up with the other 3 members of our tour group!! 1st week in La Paz is now complete! I seem to have avoided any form of altitude sickness, we are approx 4000m up, although it is tough climbing stairs and I would not wish to attempt a triathlon up here!! I have been mainly settling in, getting used to the altitude, catching up with Murray and eating/drinking!
