It has been a month since i last sat here updating my blog and i cant believe it, time is going so quickly, i cant believe we have been in the appartment 2 months already and that in less than 8 weeks i finally to get to see my amazing parents once again! Yes, flying around the world for 24 hours setting off on christmas day to be able to see me once again... i really am the golden child now kates!! The sun shines everyday now and its coming into the hottest time of the year, its 25-30 degreees everyday now and we both love it! I have ridden my new bike betsy down the the park by the river, it beautful down here and you cant believe that you are in a city, there is a beach and a kids water park and you can cycle on the river front for miles!
To everyone who doesnt know i finally have a job, and one i know i am going to love! I am going to be working in retail in a big departement store kind of like house of frasier for a brand called Veronika Maine, its like the australian version of Karen Millen. I start next monday and i am so excited, not to mention the massive 50% discount i get on all the clothing i want/can afford...maybe i will need 2 suitcases to bring everything home? I am going to be working outside of the city about 4 miles out, its across the river from us so i get to catch a city boat to work which is pretty cool, i dont know many people who get to catch a boat to work!
Jordan is doing really well in his job and gets many compliments on his food and they have even added a dessert recipie of his to the menu. We now get to go for a free 5 course meal as all the staff do every 2/3 months, im really excited because it is one of the top 10 resteraunts in the whole of brisbane! Somewhere for us to take mom and dad im sure.
Having your own home and paying all the bills and sorting everything is new to us both but my mom couldnt of taught me better, i can now juggle everything pretty well if i do say so myself and i have also learnt to cook quite well which is a bonus, altohugh we are turning into real aussies and use the bbq for loads of our food!
And although everything is nearly perfect i can say it desnt 100% feel like christmas is coming... shopping for a tree and decorations doesnt seem quite the same when your in a bikini and shorts instead of a fur coat and ugg boots! But there will still be presents under our little tree on the 25th, and maybe the 27th too when mom and dad arrive. I would like a handbag please santa if you are reading this xxxxxxx
I miss everyone at home loads and i cant wait to see everyone, im sure i will be very busy when im back..5 months left, 7 months has gone super fast! Sending my love to you all, miss you!!
