So i think it has been around a month since my last entry. It has been coming up to summer now over here and everyday it is around 25-30 degrees, the heat is something me and jord are both used to by now as its all we have really lived in since we set off in march. Anything below 20 degrees now and we say its been a cold day, mom and dad think we are going crazy as they are getting wrapped up to face the below zero temperatures back in England. But along with the heat comes rain now and again, and even a few tropical storms. The worst being just last week when we actually experienced being caught in our first cyclone… wow it was scary! We had torrential rain with hailstones the size of tennis balls and winds so strong they blew down power lines and trees. It was so scary i rang home and woke mom and dad because i was so scared as Jordan wasn't home! We had no power for 12 hours- over night and into the morning. A house just down the road had its whole rood taken off and the shopping centre where i work had the glass roof shattered by the hailstones.Train lines were ruined and many homes are still getting repaired now, apparently it was the worst storm people who live here have ever seen, i'm hoping there wont be another one anytime soon. Things at work are going good for both of us and we are both enjoying living life Aussie style. We have also been in our apartment over 3 months now, time is going so quick, only half our time left here in oz before we jet home and have been away a while year!! 3 weeks and we will be having our own christmas day with mom and dad, we now have a tree and some lights on the balcony although its still not the same feeling you get in England with the frost and the cold. We both send a merry christmas to everyone at home as we are not sending cards as it would cost a fortune to send so many back. Hopefully we will get the christmasy feeling sometime soon!
Jordan took me on a date night to his work, I knew he said it was nice but it was amazing, the food was some of the nicest i'v ever had, i can't wait to take mom and dad. The restaurant has 1 hat which is the equivalent to a Michelin star! Still can't believe he managed to get a job at such a nice place.
