This morning we had an amazing sleep in and woke up to a beautiful sunny day in Venice! Simon and I went in to town together and set out for breakfast, which would actually be lunch! We decided to go in the opposite direction which lead us to a nice restaurant with lots of locals - we knew they were locals because all the gondoliers were there! We sat down and we ordered a pizza each. They were huge and tasted amazing! All pizzas should either have potato or Brie on them! After lunch we continued to wander around. We ended up walking through almost every zone in Venice and some how managed to find our way back to the train station! As hours past at around 6pm Simon took me on a gondola! We both agreed that it was one of the nicest things we've done together :) It was so peaceful and relaxing! Everything was so quite! Our gondolier was a lovely man! He pointed out buildings and explained some of the history to us. After we hopped off we peacefully walked to a nice little cafe and had a coffee. We were both really tired after such a long day and started to make our way back to the train station. We decided to buy a drink and sit on the stairs overlooking the water while we waited for our train! It was perfect timing because we ran in to the others. We have another early start in the morning because we're off to Barcelona! Ciao, Italia!
