We woke up to yet another beautiful morning! We got ready and went down to breakfast I had a waffle with nutella and banana - it was the biggest waffle I have ever seen! After breakfast we made our way to the bus and taxi rank at the port and took a taxi to the beach in the south of the island where our tour started and organised to be picked up after! We went down to the beach and met our guides - they were two young guys. They have such a relaxed lifestyle! Maybe instead of teaching I can run daily tours to Montague island - provide lunch, snorkeling, maybe fishing ha ha :) The tour was really nice. They played nice relaxing music as we drive along. There were white cliffs with lots of caves and the water was as clear as clear can be! In the middle of the ocean you could still see the bottom! We got dropped off at a secluded beach that could only be reached by boat! The water was beautiful, it had a big white cliff surrounding it, little caves and beautiful white sand! We stayed here for an hour or so frolicking in the water, looking in the caves ad sun baking. Simon found a rubber mat that was left by our boat and laid it on the edge of the ocean so he could lay and sun bake with the shore coming in and splashing his feet! It looked so comfy and convenient because it was keeping him cool so I joined! Eventually it was time for us to go and we were picked up and taken back to the beach. Just as we got back our taxi driver pulled up! It was such a relief because if they didn't show up we may have missed our ferry! Buses aren't regular on the island, so taxi was our safest option! On our way back to the port our taxi driver randomly pulled over on a dirt road and swapped drivers! Ha ha we both freaked out because nothing like that ever happens and all those horror movies were running through our heads! When we got back - safely I might add! We went back to our hotel and picked our bags up and made our way back to the port. We decided to go to the supermarket and by some things because we wouldn't get in to Athens until late! I bought two beautiful postcards to send Nanna and Dad to wish them a happy birthday and when I wrote on them I didn't leave room on Father Ducks for an address and on Nannas I didn't leave room for stamps! I'm useless!! Our ferry was on time today :) An upside to being at a non touristy island was that the ferry was empty and simon and I got a big corner couch to ourselves! We sat down and got comfy and both started reading our books - hours and hours past and we had arrived at Athens! We booked our accommodation in Piraeus even though it cost a little bit more because we didn't want to be catching trains or buses around Athens in the middle of the night especially with the riots and everything going on there at the moment! Our hotel was directly across the road from the port, but naturally we had a bit of difficulty finding it ha ha. When we finally found it we checked in. The man working was lovely! He was telling us about his brother who lived in Sydney for work and how he'd been to Canberra before! We got to our room and watched some TV bloopers on YouTube before going to sleep - they're so funny!
