Check out isn't until 12 today so we tried to have a big sleep in! We're off to Croatia today! I'm very excited!! Croatia is one of the countries I've been most excited for! I've met quite a few people saying the Croatian islands are even better than the Greek! We got up and got ready and chilled out until 12 using as much WIFI as we could! We checked out and reception let us leave our bags there until we had to catch a bus to the airport! We walked down the street looking for somewhere to get something to eat when we cane across a random cafe in an alley. It was by far the most authentic place we've eaten in Greece! I was nervous I'd get food poisoning! For 1€ you could get souvlaki! We order a few each as they were on our list of foods to try and they were delicious!! After lunch we wandered the streets, but being a Sunday everything was closed! We decided that we'd make our way to the airport a few hours early because that way we wouldn't miss our flight and everything would be open! We caught a bus to the airport which was cheaper, easier and much nicer than the train and we went and sat in Mc Donalds so we could use the free WIFI but I felt guilty not eating anything and bought a cheese burger and Simon ended up getting a whole Big Mac meal ha ha. After a while we were able to check in. It was nice flying with a regular airline for a change! While we were waiting for our plane to board we noticed our flight had 'gates open' which was strange because we thought we left an hour later than what we did, but when I looked at the ticket and took in to consideration the 1 hour time difference I realised we left at 8:00, however Simon was adamant we left at 9:00. Simon decided he wanted to make a bet and the loser had to buy the other dinner. Simon bet that we would board the plane at 8:30 and I bet 7:30. 7:30 comes around and what do you know we were boarding our plane! Ha ha :) The plane was a very nice change! Simon had so much leg room he could actually spread out!! On the plane Simon wanted to double or nothing our bet. If I lost to paper, scissors, rock I didn't get dinner, but if I won I got a really nice dinner. I didn't have anything to lose so I went along with it and ended up winning! I may actually hold him to it now ha ha. We were really happy with Croatia airlines! It had lots of room and nice food and drinks! When we got to Dubrovnik we picked up our bags and caught the shuttle in to town. Dubrovnik is beautiful! Everything is really green, the water is really blue, the town is situated right on the water and all the houses are white sand stone with terra-cotta roofs! When we were driving in to town and seeing all of this the sun was setting and I fell in love with the town! When we got our shuttle in to town we had to catch the town bus to Lapad bay! Of course I read the directions wrong and we walked up and down the street until we realised we were actually going the right way the first time! When we got to Guesthouse Mary we were greeted by a young guy who sat us down, got us drinks and gave us a map and explained where everything was, where to go, what to do! It was really nice and helpful! We were then showed to our room, which overlooks Dubrovnik and the port! I was so sleepy! I think I fell asleep before my head hit the pillow!
