It's our last day in Ios, we're off to Santorini this afternoon! :) This morning Simon returned the ATV (I sneakily was packing around the time of it being returned because I didn't want to walk up the massive hill!!) ha ha. I love Greek people! Everyone we have encountered has been so helpful and friendly! The man at Pelagos let us leave our bags there for the day and even offered to drive us to the port in the afternoon for our ferry! We went down to Mylopotas beach and started with breakfast on the beach before making our way across to the ocean and swimming and sunbaking for hours! After a while we decided we needed to get out of the sun before we looked like leather bags! We went to a little bar and had a few drinks to kill some time - it was so relaxing! We sat on a big couch with lots of cushions! I could of had a snooze. On our way back to the hotel we stopped for a little dip! We were then taken down to the port to wait for our ferry which was 1.5 hours late! Apparently this is a regular occurrence - I don't know why you wouldn't just change the time of arrival? There was a group of boys from the UK beside us that would come extremely close to missing their flight due to the delay. A ferry came in about 15minutes earlier than the delay and not thinking anything of it Simon and I hopped straight on! We made it all the way to the top when we handed our ticket over to realise we were in fact on the wrong boat! We grabbed our bags and ran off the ferry as quickly as possible! I don't know what would of happened if it was too late and no idea where we would have been going ha ha. Finally, we made it to Santorini and we were met by Steve! He is such a beautiful man! So lovely! He picked us up and took us back to Stavros - telling us what to do, where to go, places to eat.. Along the way. The place is perfect! We have a pool and our room has a kitchen. We can do our own cooking again! I would give anything for a home cooked meal!! (Mum you'll probably be the only one to understand this!) but, I miss my boo boo almost as much as I miss everyone back home! I still haven't grown out of it! I don't think I ever will! I have turned Simon's travelling pillow into my very own boo!
