We have had the most amazing day today! We had an early night last night so we could wake up nice and early to get a whole day driving our ATV. It was so much fun!! It took me a few hours to get the courage to drive it! Simon has it on film. Ha ha :) We drove around the whole island stopping at all the beaches and swimming and tanning! The beaches in Ios are so beautiful! White sand, crystal clear blue water and pebbly! We found so many nice places and drove around the whole island on one tank of fuel! It wasn't a very powerful bike so at times it would be pretty funny struggling up a big hill on a dirt track! Ios isn't a very populated island. The majority is tourists! The man that runs Pelagos lives in Athens during the winter because it's so quite and during summer he stays at his hotel. Overall, it only had a few villages and they weren't very big! After hours and hours of exploring the island we came back to Mylopotas and had a little picnic before trying to find the sunset. I had never seen the sun set over the ocean so I was really looking forward to it! We went to a little beach up the road from the port and found a spot on the rocks and made it nice and comfy with our towels. We sat and watched the sun go down for an hour or so, it was magical! It was so pretty until it went behind Santorini and not the ocean ha ha. I'll just have to wait another day to see the real thing! :)
