Koh Phi Phi:
On the morning of the 15th we arrived in Koh Phi Phi. When we got off the boat in koh phi phi we booked our accommodation and a man came to greet us with a 'taxi', AKA a Thai man pushing a wheel barrow with our bags in it. There are no cars on phi phi, just loads of annoying push bikes which run you over. We were reunited with the boys we had travelled to Koh Tao with from the full moon party. We went for dinner with them and then headed to the beach bars. Everyone got smashed, we played some beer pong against some Australians at Blancos and then headed to Slinkys which is the main beach club. We danced on the tables and had a very wild night!!!
Everyone woke up extremely hungover! Ellie was sick continuously all day and didn't leave her bed and Lisa still had food poisoning. Jack, Ethan and Dan came to join us out our hostel. Ellie decided to stay in as she was still being sick and her knee was in a bad way. Lisa and the boys went to an Irish bar to watch the football and begin drinking. Afterwards they headed to Blancos to play each other at beer pong, they ended up in Slinkys dancing and drinking buckets. When Slinkys shut at 3am everyone was still really awake from all the red bull and so they decided to go to the chill out bar and get a shisha. Jack went to bed and Lisa, Ethan and Dan decided it would be a good idea to climb up the viewpoint to watch the sunrise at 6 am and so they raced up the hill to make it in time. It was an amazing view and so the next day when Ellie and jack woke up they decided to take everyone up there again so they could experience the view as well. No one thought Ellie would make it because of her knee, but she proved them wrong and felt like she had climbed Mount Everest. In the evening the 5 of us had a chilled night because we were going on a boat trip the next day. We did the standard, Irish bar, beer pong at Blancos and Slinkys. We all had a go at the bucking bronco, Lisa beat all the boys scores by about half a minute and now has very bruised thighs. We bumped into Guy who Lisa, Jack and Ethan knew from school and drank some more buckets.
On Monday 18th we went on an amazing boat trip, it was the best/only activity of our trip to date. A crazy Thai man called Rambo led the trip. He took us to monkey Island and gave Lisa a cup of coke to feed the monkeys, they were very strong and running all around her in awe of the coke. Our views of cute cuddly monkeys have changed now that we have witnessed the scary, vicious creatures they are. Although, it was a good experience. The next stop on the boat trip was cliff jumping. Jack was the only one brave enough to jump. The rest of us stayed safely in the boat and cheered him on. We then drove past a Viking cave and headed to a good spot to snorkel. We saw sharks, turtles and whales... Jokes. We saw nothing, but it was fun! After snorkeling we went to Maya Bay (where Leonardo's film 'The Beach' was filmed). We had to swim from the boat to a ropes ladder through rough waves and sharp rocks. It was a terrifying experience, one girl got thrown towards a cave by some massive waves and men had to go and rescue her. Having witnessed this we had to climb a really high rope ladder which was next to where the massive waves were crashing onto the cave. It was a miracle that we survived. The rope ladder was extremely difficult to climb and people were just everywhere, it was like an assault course. Finally we made it to Maya bay, the sea was amazing and the island was beautiful. After an hour an a half on the lush Maya Bay we headed back on to our boat via the crazy ladder, this time having to go down it and we headed back towards Phi Phi whilst watching the sun set. We finished the day with another wild night out!!!
On Tuesday we did a lot of shopping at the cheap market stalls and then met the boys (Jack, Ethan and Dan) for a all you can eat buffet and cocktails. We ended up having some very serious and heated Jenga games. This night was our last night in Koh Phi Phi, we were very sad. Guy and his friend Rodge AKA Indian Raj came to join us for a night out. We went to banana bar first as we hadn't been there yet. We got the drinks in and played some beer pong. Afterwards we went to a reggae bar where people can volunteer to fight each other In a Mai Tai ring. Guy volunteered himself against a random guy. They both got very into their Mai Tai boxing. The boys were getting very serious and coaching Guy, which resulted Guy spitting out water and Jack getting in the way and getting soaked, which we found hilarious. Unfortunately, Guy did not 'pace' himself enough to win the match (according to Jack), but won a medal and a free bucket after a lot of sweating. We then moved on to relax bar, where more thrilling games of connect 4 and Jenga were played. On the way to Slinkys Raj made a disappearing act, because he had to go and throw up his Indian curry. Everyone was loving life in Slinkys, dancing lots and spectating crazy drunk people dive off of the insanely tall podium into the wild crowd of people.
On Wednesday morning, we all woke up hungover and sad to leave. We had breakfast at our favourite Phi Phi restaurant on route to the ferry port to travel to our next destination... Phuket.
