Kuala Lumpar:
We arrived in Kuala Lumpar late on 8th October and got a taxi straight to our hostel. The lovely man on reception gave us a free upgrade to a private room. It wasn't the most luxurious of private rooms but it was nice not to be in a dorm for our last couple of nights.
We woke up wen in search of things to do. Unsurprisingly, this ended up with us shopping in the markets and buying yet more things for ourselves and presents. We dressed up nicely in our dresses and then made our way via bus to the Kuala Lumpar tower which were told was incredible at night. We wet just before sunset so that we could see the city by day and night. After a walk around we took the lift hundreds of floors up to the top in just a few seconds. To be honest we were not particularly impressed by what we saw. The city was so polluted that the view was not clear at all, it was so dusty an did not look great. After the sun had gone down and it was dark the city looked a bit better with all its bright lights. We took some more photos which we weren't great either and then headed back down the millions of floors.
After returning to our hostel we ate our pot noodles and had an early night! We got a taxi at 6am the next morning to the airport and began our flight home! Due to everything that had happened with Malaysian airlines there was literally no one on the flight so everyone had a whole row to themselves! The food was also amazing...they just kept feeding us and feeding us! When we arrived our families were so happy to see us and it was a lovely reunion. Lisa's family had bought inflatable bananas with them to greet us with! We had a nice meal together at Cafe Rouge and then all headed home!
