Elles Bells Adventure!
Well hello there!
i finally managed to sort out the cliches in my website so this is my first journal entr, but late i know but at least i sent you all an email about what i have been up to to this point so i wont bother repeating myself!!
so since i last emailed i have down quite alot again! think i said we were off to the floating mrket and river kwai which turned out to be half true. We actualy ended up going to place called tiger temple which was amazing. It is run by monks and we met the one who set it up originally and he took us down to where the tigers were. we then got to sit with them and stroke them and me stupidly siad they called put one of their heads resting on my lap!!!! see picture its great and the monk with me is the one who foundd the place! such a great experience they are fantastic creatures!
then went to the River kwai as planned which was fantastic as well if not a bit scarey. had to walk over the bridge with nothing to hold on to and it was very high. more surprised i managed to do that than the tigers!!! and stupid japanesse tourists kept barging past which didn't help! but all good fun anyway and very interesting.
then it ws a 2 hour minibus back to bangkok and quick change for a night of thai boxing. it s was ok, very expensie and not as exciting as i had hoped, but good to watch all the same!
thursday did end up going to the bangkok Hilton prison which was a great experience. we got an inmates name of a website which was handy as they wouldn't of let us in without it and so paid him a visit! it was slightly scarey at first as you can imagine but the visitors part is all done up nice and clean so it was as scarey as i thought it might be. we spoke to our prisoner and another guy from pakistan with great english and they were both really nice. we all promised that we would right to them about the rest of our travels if we can, well they are both in there for at least another 40 years so hopefully it may while away a few hours!!!!
Then we caught the overnight bus to Chiang Mai which tooke about 12 hours but wsn't actaully too bad, we were kept enetertained by the dodgey films they provided and stopped off a couple of times! so anyway we arrived in Chiang Mai at 8 this morning and have psent the day by the pool chilling out, getting prepared for our 3 days trekking bonanza which starts at half 9 tomorrow morning (what am i doing!!!). its ina place called Pai and also involves riding and washing elephnts (can't wait), meeting villagers and a bamboo boat ride own the river which sound be great. so i'll let you kow how i get on with that one!
anyway after all that we are off to Laos which will probably be the next place i'll be able to update this at (as long as i haven't died from exhaustion from trekking, i must be mad its roasting out here just sitting still!!)
anyway ta ta for now, luv you all, send me messages!!
