Elles Bells Adventure!
I know this journal entry is a bit late and i am back dating it as i want them in some kind of order when i get home so sorry to be confusing!
Anyway we got to Cambodia eventually after a bit of a nightmare coach journey. on the way to the boarder the minibus we were on starting smoking loads and everyone paniced thinking it was going to blow up and demanded to be let off! so they left us on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere while they got it fixed! what fun! Going over the boarder was fairly easy and the trip to Phenon pen was bearable i guess. We stayed in the backpacker area in a lovely hut right on the lake. The people here were lovely and i really wished i could have stayed longer. Went out a few times and did day trips to the Klling fields and S-21 museum (all about the Khmer Rouge killings) and fired a M-16 gun (how freaky but cool)I really liked Phenon Pen and have definatly marked it down as somewhere i have to return to. Actually cambodia as a whole deserves more than a week.
After 3 days in Phnon Penh we moved on to Siem Reap to do the Angkor temples (the main reason anyone goes there!). and they are amazing. Just thousands of temples built in the middle of the jungle thousands of years ago, it is awesome to think of and see them, but a b***** to climb up to some of them! and loads of monkeys hanging around too which was great!
Sadly after a week had to move on from Cambodia to get back to Thailand to do the Full Moon party (which is where i am now and the party is tonight very excited!). The trip from Bangkok to Koh Samui was interesting put it that way and very stressfull, nearly didn't make it here at all but worked out in the end and even got a free night accommodation thrown in (long story!) and watched the England game on a ferry!
So Full moon tonight (hopefully will be some stories to tell after that) and then diving probably and then off to Oz on the 20th! I'll keep you posted
Lots of love to you all
Elle
