When we arrived in Koh Samui it was actually pouring it down with rain, we hadnt got around to finding anywhere to stay so had to walk the streets for and hour and a half until we actually found something cheap and nice and also happened to be right on the beach (not that it turns out that mattered much!). We arrived in Koh Tao nice and early and headed for some really nice sandwiches lol. Koh Tao is lovely, lots of little coffee shops and bars, everything is small and cute and clean. It was actually really hot and not raining to so we then went straight to the beach to try and desperately get a tan, after burning and not tanning (we tried at least) we went back to our hostel for our now regular afternoon nap. I think when i last wrote this we were waiting for the train journey from hell down to the islands and guess what it really was the train journey from hell! We set off from Chiang Mai at 8am for the train to Bangkok, this train was okay, just uncomfortable and boring and they kept serving us really weird looking (and tasting actually) food. We eventually got to Bangkok at about 9pm, by this point we were starving so headed for some kfc, which wasnt quite the same...

In the morning we headed from Chiang Mai to Pai on a mini van, the journy was 3 hours and includes 79 sharp bends around a very doggy road (apparently they quite a famous things around here). By this point we were knackered, getting up early, not much sleep and the trek had done us. We managed to find a place with lots of little huts over looking the river for a nice and cheap price though. It was very basicly but lovely. The bridge however to get across the lake...
