The second day of New York was amazing! First we started by going to the Statue of Liberty. It was so much better in person! Then we went to Ellis Island. It was really interesting to learn about the history of the people who came through and what they had to go through. After Ellis Island, we went to Battery Park. After that we went to Wall Street and saw the George Washington statue. For lunch we decided to eat at a pizza place which was delicious. After lunch we went to the 9/11 memorial and museum which was similar to the OKC bombing memorial. It was depressing to see it. Then something I encountered for the first time was the subway. It was just like I expected it to be because of shows or movies that have the subway in it. Once off the subway we went to Times Square again and did some more shopping. Then the thing I have been waiting for all day was the Empire State Building! It was also something I encountered for the first time. The line was terrible but it was worth it to see all of NYC. Customs new to me were that most people walk. Cause like in Norman it's hard to get to places driving a car. Experimental learning about New York is better than class room learning because you get to experience things and learn a little bit more than you would from a text book. Like nothing cloud compare to standing on top of the Empire State Building. You couldn't get that feeling from look at a picture in a book. The travel to New York influenced my life by just going there and seeing everything. It makes me want to live there. But I know I probably won't ever live there.
