Today is the day we have to go home. But before our flight home we went to the US History Museum at the Smithsonian. The first exhibit we saw were all the gowns the first ladies wore during the Presidential inaugurations. It was interesting to see the change in fashion over the many years. First thing we do today is take a three hour tour of Colonial Williamsburg. Our tour guide, Cris Brown, took us to a lot of the historical buildings. I learned that most buildings are recreated buildings. One of the first places he takes us to is where they make bricks. We got to go in and step in and around the clay. Today we went to the Smithsonian Zoo. Their zoo was very cool and had more exotic animals than at the OKC zoo. It also seemed like the animals at this zoo were more active than the animals typically are at the OKC zoo. First we went to see the pandas. Bao Bao, the baby panda, was so cute and active. Bao Bao's mom was close to the glass eating the bamboo. I got some good photos. Then we went to see the otters and when the zoo keeper let them out they came running...

To start off the day we went to Martin Luther King Jr.'s Memorial and I thought it would be a little bit bigger. But it was different; it wasn't like any other memorials. Then off to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial. It was cool to see how the water symbolizes if the world was going through a calm or rough time durning his four terms. Today was probably the most tiring day of them all. Walked about 10 miles. As I sit here writing this, my heels still hurt. We did see some cool things though. We started off by going to Arlington National Cemetery. Arlington Cemetery has small inclines and declines but even though they are small they are still very tiring.
