Hello,

The last 8 days we have been in Queenstown, we left Wanaka on Tuesday morning and we went to puzzling world, which was really weird there were illusion rooms and a maze so we done the rooms first, one room just had loads of faces in and as you moved past them they all seemed to turn there heads to face you, ands then another room we walked in and it was so weird you like nearly fell over as you walked in because everything was like on a slope, there was a pool table in there on a tilt and if you put the ball at the bottom it would roll up the table, and there was water running upwards and some other things, we took some photos whilst we were in there so you can see what we mean. Then we went into another room whee you went through one door and you was relly little and as you walked across the room it got smaller and smaller. Then there bwere loads of pictures everywhere which came out of the screen and some other weird paintings and things.

After we went into them we came out and had a sandwhich and then went to attempt the maze, which me and kev were rubbish at, you had to get to all four corners and then make your way out again, well me and kev never even made it to one corner lol and then ended up going out an emergency exit cus we just couldnt get out of it lol.

After about an hour or so there we went to the AJ Hackett bungy sites where people could do the kauikara bungy, which was the first ever bungy site for AJ Hackett and we got to watch a video about AJ Hackett and bungys, and we could book our other bungys there and get some discount so i booked my Nevis bungy for the saturday. We wathed a few other people do some bungys as well before going onto this little town, which was really old fashioned and had like a little english sweet shop, so me and kev got some sweets and had a walk up the street before getting back on the bus and arriving into queenstown about 2.

We got dropped off at base but decided to walk round to nomads as it was a bit cheaper and brand new so it was really nice and clean. Once we dropped our bags in our room we went down to the harbour and go some fish and chips from this little hut and sat by the sea watching the jet boats go pat. We then bumped into steph and aaron who'd been on our bus from nelson to wanaka and they'd just done the nevis so we spoke to them about that got even more scared lol and decided we'd go out when they got back from there cycling tour thing they were doing.

We didnt bother going out on our first night as we thought we'd just save our money and wait and go out with steph and aaron, so we pretty much had an early night and then wednesday got up and done the frankton walk along the lake which was quite nice but that was about it.

Thursday we did nothing all day apart from sitting around, think we watched some films in the movie room and friday we done pretty much the same, we went and got a pizza and had a drink in the bar in the evening but that was about it. Saturday was the day of my Bungy i got up at 6 30 cus we had to be at the bungy station at 8 to check in. Everyone ended up leaving there at 8 30 and i said goodbye to kev, there was a 45 minute drive to the bungy site and once there we got harnessed up and taking over on a little buggy thing to the bungy. It was so scary the buggy could only take a certain amount of people so on our way over the first person was doing there bungy and it looked so frightening as soon as i saw it i was like i cant do this lol it looked so much worse then the videos lol. I had to go last out of the 13 people doing it so before i had to do my jump i got to watch everyone else doing it and i had to be number 13 lol so i was so scared. Everyone said it was really gd once they got bought back up but it didnt really help lol.

Finally it came to my turn so i had to sit on this seat whilst they strapped my legs up, i then shuffled to the edge whilst telling everyone i couldnt do it lol, and once on the edge the bloke put his foot behind me so i couldnt move back and counted to three, but i just couldnt get myself to jump so then after telling me to look ahead and try again he counted to three one more time and when i didnt jump again he pretty much leaned me out and let me go lol. It was so scary but so good once i was off the edge, everything was so quick i could just see the ground rushing towards me until the bungy flinged me back up, i think i was in a bit of a panic about pulling my leg thing so id sit upright so as soon as i came down from the first bounce i tried to pull it, but it wouldnt work and the cord was still bouncing so i think i was a bit aprehensive probably should have waited until i stopped bouncing lol. Anyway i got pulled up upside down lol and the last three of us left on the bungy got taken back over on the buggy to pay for our pictures and videos, but the whole thing was so good i was just smiling all the way back in the van to the city centre.

Once back i went and found kev and we went and got my pictures and dvd from the bungy station and as we picked it up we had two 2gb memory sticks put in with my pictures so that was gd. We then went and got some lunch in a pub down by the harbour and looked round the craft market they had on before going back to our hostel and getting another early night lol. Sunday we went for a walk up to the sky ledge, where there was another bungy and some other things up there. You could get a gondala up but me and kev thought we'd save our money and walk, well it took us absoloutly ages it was so knackering we are so unfit lol. The first part i wouldnt even call a walk it was more like a climb lol, once we eventually made it to the top we took some pics of the veiw which was amazing and we watched some people do the bungy, kev decided he'd give it a miss and do the one in auckland when we get there maybe lol.

We then made our way down before it got to dark and couldnt see our way back through the woodland part of the walk lol. It was alot easier coming down i think we done it in half the time, and it was nice seeing the sunset on our way to the bottom. When we got back to the hostel we watched back to the future in the hostel and got a pizza before going to bed again lol.

On Monday i had my canyon swing to do, it wasnt as early as the bungy so we left at 11 and it was only ten minutes to the site, it was all boys doing it so i was the only girl and went first lol. They told me to go backwards because it was one of the most scariest and said after nevis i had to do it lol, which id rather not have lol so after standing on the edge for about 10 minutes or longer they sorta leaned me back and let me go, because i just cant get the hang of that jumping off bit lol its so scary. But it was really gd and just as scary as nevis lol spec going backwards so i got some pics and dvd of that too.

When i got back to the town me and kev watched my dvd and got some lunch, we then got some drink for latter that night and met stef and aaron in the lounge area. Betime they were ready me and kev had pretty much drank a bottle of vodka lol so we were on our way. We then all left to join the pub crawl the hostel was doing so we got some free drinks. We met them in the third bar as they'd already done the 1st and 2nd betime we got out. We then all moved onto the fourth bar a place called world bar where they do these things called teapots which are basically teapote filled up with shot mixtures and they give you shot glasses with them, so we played some drinking games and all got very drunk we worked out we all had a teapot each lol. After we'd finished in there we went over to furburger which is supposed to be the best burgers ever but me and kev didnt like ours but we had chips which were really nice.

Tuesday we spent the whole day hungover, i felt so ill we watched a film on our laptop we'd downloaded and got ourselves a cooked breakfast from a cafe lol. We then pretty much lazed about all day until we got bored in the evening and went to the cinema and watched disctrict9 it was the weirdest film ever lol not sure if i liked it or not, it was ok i guess, wouldnt suggest to go to the cinema to watch it tho.

Wednesday we had to catch our bus to christchurch so it was up early and to the bus to make an 8 hour trip to christchurch. we had a really gd time in queenstown was really gd. glad you had a gd holiday i will try and ring you tonight i love you lots miss you loads xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
