Emma- The Globetrotting Girlie- Australia
Naviti- Korovou Eco Tour Resort
Naviti was our last stop of the Fijian islands. Although we really enjoyed the time spent here, we felt rather sad that this would be our last few days with this picture perfect scenery!
So we decided to perk up and make the most of it! We arrived on the 31st of October which was Halloween and we were very surprised to see that hardly any of the Fijians had heard of it. We asked Sitiveni, one of the waiters if he could get us a pumpkin so we could show them how we celebrate Halloween. He helped carve a face and we asked for a candle to put inside.
We told the Fijians that it wards off bad spirits so they put it by the Kava bowl during the ceremony which was quite sweet!
Sleeping on the hammocks is one of the energetic activities that the island has to offer its guest. Whilst I was doing this I looked up and found many vividly coloured bugs on the tree that held up my hammock! This was a perfect Kodak moment. (see >Photo Albums >Korovou for the pics)
