Back home in Tassie for short visit to friends and family, home for 6 weeks. Lovely to be home and see everyone again, especially since I have not seen some for over 12 months. Our last two days in Madrid have been doing some sightseeing in and around the city. Arrived here on saturday evening. Nice to be back in Spain again after travelling through Portugal. Sunday used the opportunity to visit 'free'places within the city. Went to El Rastro market, mostly stalls sellings bags, clothes, fans, sunglasses, shoes and household goods. In afternoon went to Museo del prado, very famous museum in Madrid, apparently one of the top three. ...

Now in Lisbon. Arrived here yesterday after leaving beautiful beachy Lagos. Gorgeous old city with so much to see. Absolutely amazing old buildings and architecture. We have 2 days here before travelling to Madrid on saturday. Packed our lunch and off to see a castle just outside main city centre and stroll around the city. More updates soon...

We're in Lagos having a great time exploring this gorgeous coastal town. Very touristy area, think I've seen more tourists than locals around. The portugese here are very friendly & speak English which is amazing since our travels through Spain. Arrived late sun night after 6-hour bus ride from Seville and stayed at very noisy party hostel first night. Glad to move on to other accommodation after that.
