First day in Auckland was amazing. We managed to navigate the airport successfully and on the bus to the city a local New Zealander started chatting to us and offered to be our tour guide as he had the whole day to kill before he was flying to America that evening. So we dumped our bags at the hostel, freshened up and off we went to explore the city with Mike, a honey bee farmer who produces makuna honey so we learned a lot about all the benefits which was fascin...

Just landed in Hong Kong after a delightful 11 hour flight. 2 hours to kill in the airport before our second and final 11 hour flight of the day! No idea what time of day it is but on the positive there were loads of wicked films to watch on the airplane. Very misty in Hong Kong so not much of a view from the windows but can just see the mountains peering out in the distance!

Here we are, about to board our plane. Really busy in the departure lounge, looks like a full flight! Looking forward to watching some good movies on board! Update to follow when we land.....

Looks like we'll be taking the rain to Auckland with us! 4 days to go...
