Ed's Tour
7/10/06- 9/10/06
Arrived in Ko Pha Ngan midday on Friday after a grueling 16 hour taxi/bus/boat trip from Bangkok- but it was sure worth it! We traveled down with an American called Brad who we met in Bangkok and shared our bungalow with him. Our balcony over looked the sea and sunset and we were only a 20 meter walk from the unspoiled beach and clear warm waters surrounded by palm trees- was true luxury. It really turned out to be a lazy few days.On the Saturday night we went to the full moon party a few beaches down from ours- and what a night that was, there were thousands of people all over the beach all partying away- there were acts, food and stalls all over the place- I decided to have some artwork done on my arm- a pound well spent! We ended up leaving at about 5am and got a motorbike taxi back to our bungalow just in time to watch the sunrise and a morning swim!
The rest of the time basically consisted of: sleeping, swimming, eating, drinking beer, sleeping, a bit more swimming, more eating, and a lot more beer.
Unfortunately we had to leave on Monday for another 16 hour trip to get back to Bangkok- but despite being on a smelly bus full of snoring travelers it was worth the trip!
