After a long flight and a hairy cab journey we finally made it to our accommodation in Bangkok- A really nice little place just off the main road. It’s such a busy city and the pollution is awful- but we still managed to find fun.
The first night we headed out with some other travelers we'd just met (An Aussie, a Canadian and an American). We headed to a place which seemed like a bar but instead was something very different indeed- a ping pong show. For those of you who don't know what it is, it's not table tennis! After a rather eye opening experience we headed to a few more conventional bars which was good fun and great to chat to other travelers and locals.

After returning from Ko-Pha Ngan we were greeted with Bangkok’s noise and business- a far cry from what we had experienced in Ko-Pha Ngan! We took a tuk-tuk ride around the city (like the one pictured), which is like a crazy little car driving like a mad thing all over town. We visited a few temples and said hi to some Buddha’s which was fun as well as seeing more of the city. Unfortunately though we are in monsoon season and we were hit by torrential rain and lightning while we were in it. So Chris and I were cooped up in the back of this thing, trying to avoid the rain while being driven through heavily flooded roads- the pictures don’t quite do the situation justice! The rain has had un blocked in our hostel all night whcih is a shame, especially as it's our last night- we were going to go to watch a Thai boxing match and perhaps have a traditional Thai massage but there we go!
We will now be heading off to Perth after our quick Thai experience. We’ve seen two very different places and I'd defiantly like to come back and have a proper look around. Saying that I'm looking forward to Australia where we'll be touring a little slower. The 52 hours of travel I’ve done in the lasts even days is not something I'd like to do every week!
