Chiang Mai is a nice city, if a little confusing! It has a wall around it and a motte. The map we have is wrong, so we're having to guess where everything is! Stumbled upon a rather lovely riverside restaurant, which was gorgeous! Cocktails were wierd though, Ed had one which was listerine flaoured!! Yesterday we went to a Thai cooking school, which was really good. Cooked 6 dishes including red curry, Spring rolls and Thai fishcakes. We alo got to look round a local market and bought some fruit that we got to eat. Think we tried 5 or 6 pieces of fruit that we'd never heard of. We got to eat all of the food we made! We were stuffed! Didn't have dinner! We are going to Doi Inthanon National Park today, which has waterfalls and amazing views and also has the highest mountain in all of Thailand. Will write more later gotta go!
Got Back from the National Park earlier. Stunning views, Looked round the King and Queens's Pagodas and still not sure what they are there for. Went to a village but the Waterfalls were the highlight and hoping the camera has done them justice. Top of the mountain was a bit misty so the view wasn't as good as hoped. We got dinner in a mountainside restaurant (had chicken and coconut soup and some fresh fruit)Heading to Chaing Dao tommorow morning on the bus.
