At the Copa...Copacobaaaaaana!

No not at the beech (Barry Manalow style) but am at the shores of Lake Titicaca. I´m just on the Bolivian side now and at a breathtaking 3800meters up. I tried to climb the small hill above the town but had to give up about 3 minutes from the top as felt so short of breath and dizzy!

I spent yesterday visiting the floating islands on the Peruvian side - they built islands out of reads and live on them all year round. It´s now pretty touristy but was first done so the people (Uros) could get away from repression on the mainland.

Today was a short boat ride to the "island of the sun" on the lake. Not quite as spectacular but is supposed to be where the Inca gods were created and I had a swig of water from the "fountain of youth". No effects yet...

Off to La Paz tomorrow.
