Well it's been like 4 days I think? We left hoi an on the 24th and traveled a whole 15mins up the road to da nang! (we heard it was a 3 hour bus trip.. Suck s*** to those people!) we arrived at hoa's guesthouse a very basic beach shack esque. We chilled for a while on the first day then we got bored and decided to hike up marble mountain! It was awesome apart from my paraplegic back and lack of fitness. There were caves and massssive statues made from the marble within the mountain. We climbed high though tiny caves and made it to the very top a couple of times. All around da nang there are huge shops with giant statues of Buddhas and lions and stuff which is pretty awesome. That night we went into the city for dinner and found an awesome bar called bamboo 2 (good music, finally!) the next day we travelled into the city on a scooter! So scary! Nothing was open still from tet and we were in desperate need of speakers! Eventually we found some and went home and read our books and fell asleep! 26th Aussie day! We had heard about some pubs doing Aussie stuff so we headed I one in the. It's called waterfront, we met up with a couple we met at hoa's & they had their iPhone plugged into the speakers playing the hottest 100 much to everyone's disappointment the owner took the phone out at song number 6!! Only to be replaced by some old guy trying to sing 'Aussie classics' we then Headed out to the billabong pub and had pies for dinner. Yesterday we had hoped for the shops to be open now so we hired another scooter but soon found out no one could be eFfed to open their shop so we scootered around the city and went on a mission to find the bus station so we could book our trip to Hanoi. It was finally sunny so when we got back home we decided to take our books and lay on the beach. I'm now sitting at the bus station 1 hour early extremely bored looking back on the past 4 days with not much excitement or sadness to leave da nang. Thanks tet for wrecking everything! Ohwell we are doing the halong bay tour when we get to Hanoi and that should be amazing :)
