After a chaotic time at Jaipur staton I finally managed, with some help, to find my train and three hours later we were at Sawai Madhopur, the closest station to Ranthambore Tiger Park. Booked into the excellent Tiger Safari Resort with the friendly and lively Rahul being an great host. I went on three 3h Safaries and they were great, saw a couple of tigers, lots of deers, crocs, and sambas and some glorious scenery and met some great people in our open top jeeps. Food continues to be fine if veggie based and healthwise I'm doing OK. Its a bit weird to feel like a film/sports star though, groups of friendly local people, sometimes adults, keep coming up to me wanting photos with me. Odd! Alls good though, getting used to spending time alone now but I've met plenty of people along the way including a nice couple 50ish who gave me lots of tips about Goa over a few beers on the Tiger Safaris rooftop restaurant.
