dzasta travels
4 days to go...we are on the way home.
I don't believe how rude some of these people are.
4am start to cross the border and long drive, compounded by roadworks. I was up at 1am because of the freight train in my tent. Im upgrading tonight.
On the way to Mburo we passed another leopard. That makes it 5 since I joined the tour. Even the local guide said she has only seen 2. Looks like I am still bringing the group some luck. There is NO upgrade. I'm ******. There were heaps of critters at the campground, especially wart hogs and hippos. The usual precautions when going to the dunny at night. they only had cold showers.
I went to bed as soon as my chores were done (8.30) and slept the sleep of the dead. I didn't hear the freight train till 5am. 6am seems to be the usual start time for breakfast and we have to be packed up and tents down before then. Morning safari walk this morning was almost a waste of time. The fog was so thick it was pretty hard to see anything. We had to wait till the buffalo were out of sight before we could go past. The fog started to lift about 10min before the end of the walk.
Off to Jinja tonight for 2 nights and a definite upgrade, one way or another.
