In the 1700s Essaouira was known as Mogodor and it was the biggest port in North Africa. They exported gold, ivory and slaves, all from Timbuktu, to Europe and the Americas. I know I said I wasn't going to Taghazout and I kinda didn't and did. Yesterday I moved back to Agadir and into my old hotel room. This morning I came to Tamraght on the Transperth bus. Well not exactly but the Moroccan equivalent. If had known how easy it was I might have done it sooner. Tamraght is a surf town. The whole town exists for surfing. Every hotel and hostel has surf in it name. There are a few beaches here, including the main beach which is about 5miles long.
