Even man made objects are embraced by the continuous cycle of life in a temperate rainforest... The Hoh Rainforest was magical with its very tall, old trees, mosses, ferns and peaceful atmosphere. I was half expecting pixies and elves to appear as I kept half an eye out for elks, cougars and bears. They were apparently equally unlikely around the trails we were on. LZ

Home from home in Seattle. Happy hour drinks and snacks to sustain us through the site seeing. Yay. LZ

Cruising our way to Alaska necessitates a certain degree of style, even if it is a tad chilly. It is rare to have such amazing scenery at a formal dinner. LZ

A typical Sunday in Vancouver A stroll down the shopping streets of SoMa, a pootle through Granville Market with some lunch and a hello to the Canadian geese doing the same! I am reliably informed that the goose on right was looking for a good spot to lay her egg. LZ

Museum of Anthropology Day one in Vancouver and we decided to hit the famous museum, banking on it being much emptier that the coming weekend. We were super lucky to arrive in time for a guides tour around the main exhibition of totem poles of the local indigenous propel. It was fascinating. They also had a strong section on carvings and masks from around the world. Photos to follow. LZ
