Phuket is actually pronounced Poo - Ket and to tell you the truth it is poo. This place was hit by the Tsunami and has been rebuilt. Here Miffy and I have decided to travelin different directions - I have decided to stay here another night and see the beach - I can't go with out seeing the beach! I had a wicked day on the Patong Beach with an Irish Guy called John - we met on the walk down to the sea front. paragliding was taking place on the beach and I just had to do!! Flying high in sky with a Thai hanging off the back of the parachute giving it direction was really cool. I managed to land on my feet too on the way down - unfortunately John didnt and he ended up on his arse in the sea! I ordered food here and got cabbage instead of broccoli - what is going on!! I'm to to Phi Phi next for some fun with diving - there are better beaches in Phuket but I decided just to pass through. As always if you go make up your own mind on this place - if you like cabbage alot with Thai food then maybe it's the place for you? maybe not.
