Hi guys and girls, Hope you are all well, we are in North Philly staying with Dubs's friend Tony, who he met in Madrid. In the morning, Dubs got a BUDGET and we mean BUDGET haircut for $5! It was done by a trainee barber who could only speak Turkish. The thing is, his ability to cut hair was probably as good as our lawn mowing! He had help from about 5 people including one boy as young as 12! We got the Greyhound to Philly and en route we got a slice of home from home by stopping at Camden New Jersey! It was was not a patch on our classy Camden though and is definitely not worth a visit! Last night we went to these flats with a really cool bar that served pints of lager for $1. When we got there they properly reminded us of Broadgate Park (for those of you who went to Nottingham University) only this had a wicked pool with sun loungers and a gym. Tony's mates were all very sound, they were all in their mid twenties and had recently finished University, but where they lived suggested that they did not want to leave the Uni frame of mind, which is fair enough I guess! Oh yeah, we also had a Philly Cheese Steak! For those of you who dont know what that is (or have had imitation Philly Cheese Steaks outside Philadelphia) they get a baguette, slice it in half and fill it with tender diced steak coated with cheese and then another layer of steak on top. I opted for pizza sauce and fried onions in mine but Cess had it au naturele! Put it this way, our stomachs thanked us very much! We are off to explore the city! Most notably, we are going to run up the stairs that Rocky ran up in one of the movies! We will try and locate a bar to watch Charlton V Man U as well! then we are having a large one tonight!
