Today, we packed up the trailer and went to the Acadia National Park Visitors Center. It was pretty cool, they allowed us to park the trailer in the huge parking lot while we toured the park. Why? Today is the day that we must leave Canada or plan to camp in a Canadian Tire Company or Walmart's parking lot. The last Canadian Tire and Walmart stores were back in St. John, NB. By the time we reached this date, I was getting nervous. Most, if not all campgrounds in Canada close by October 15th. We left Woodhaven RV Park for a tour of the southern coast of Nova Scotia. Looking at the map, it appears we barely saw much of the coastline, but what we saw was so beautiful. Our first point of interest was Peggy's Cove & Lighthouse. We boarded the Northumberland ferry from Wood Island, PEI to Caribou, Nova Scotia. We were told to arrive between one and a half to two hours prior to the sailing to ensure that we got a spot on the ferry. All 18 wheel big rigs are taken first, then the trailer/campers are first come, first serve. So, we arrived at the terminal early and sat in line. Boring..... However, when the ferry pulled up, there were only two semis and three or four travel trailers in line...
