Year-long Retirement Odyssey
By the time we reached this date, I was getting nervous. Most, if not all campgrounds in Canada close by October 15th. Today, we had to drive from outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia, around the eastern end of the Bay of Fundy and well into New Brunswick if we were going to have any chance of being out of Canada by the 15th.
The first piece of good news was when we saw the "Welcome to New Brunswick" sign. It was a perfectly clear day, so the roads were dry and driving conditions good for our drive. Fall colors were excellent as we continued to drive westward after crossing into New Brunswick.
Most of the campgrounds around St. John, NB were already closed down for winter preparations, however, I had found one RV campground out on a country road in Newtown. So, we drove about 15 miles out on a two lane road to find the All Done RV Campground. By the time we reached the campground, I was "all done" for the day!
As you can see, not many pictures were taken this day. However, we were looking forward to the next couple of days, when we would be in Bar Harbor, Maine!
