Year-long Retirement Odyssey
This day started out cloudy as we got the trailer ready for the road. As we pulled out and crossed Devil's Lake by the causeway, the sky grew dark and it started to rain. The clouds and rain stayed with us most of the day, as we crossed the eastern North Dakota and into Minnesota.
It was a pretty an ordinary day as we drove another 279 miles across the plains and into some forested areas of northwestern Minnesota. Roxie spent most of her time snoozing, being sure to touch both Dad and Mom!
Finally, we arrived at our campground, Oak Park Kampground in Garfield, MN. It was a nice campground that wasn't crowded. Our campsite faced a small lake with plenty of oak trees providing shade (if the sun had been out)!
We settled down for the night after viewing a great sunset, giving us the feeling that tomorrow would be sunny and clear!

Linda Mauck Hi Dave, Thanks for sharing and giving me a little peace with your beautiful pictures of your trip. Glad all is well. Not much change around Port Hueneme. Still the same crazy place. Miss You, Linda
David Pritzos Good morning, Linda! Thanks for your comment. Glad to hear that you guys are getting along without me! That's what finally drove me to retire - the craziness ~ and not just at Port Hueneme! Would love to see you and Mario again. Dave
