This morning, we packed up the trailer and headed up the Trans-Canada Highway (or Autoroute Transcanadienne in French) toward Quebec City. The trip was only 153 miles, so we arrived at the campground early. After a quick disconnect and set up of the trailer, we set out to tour Quebec - it was our only day to tour Quebec City. We had spent the night at Camping Madeleine. We've included a few pictures of the campground. When we thought that the morning commute would be "over", we ventured out onto the freeway heading for downtown Montreal. We drove over Pont Victoria, an old drawbridge that passed over some locks that are used for ships moving up the St. Lawrence River towards Lake Ontario. Arriving in the old downtown area, there was road and building construction on about every block....

We ate a leisurely breakfast and made preparation to get "underway". We pulled out of the Grenville Park about 10 a.m. and drove on Highway 2, which parallels the St. Lawrence River. We enjoyed the scenes of the river, the islands, the houses on islands and everything in between!
