Darwin. Got a flight from Alice Springs at a rather sensible time of 11am. Landed at 1.30. Turned out the hostel goes on lunch break between 12 and 4. Watched AFL on telly. Did washing. Killed time before flying to Singapore. Cheerio for now Oz, I'll be back....

And so the outback adventure began. Well it was billed as a trip through the desert, stopping at places like Uluru (Ayers rock), and well to be honest I didn't read the brochure (this explains a schoolboy error later on). Well, had a day to kill in Adelaide before heading off to the outback. So did my washing. And got an early night. Killer blog!

Which was a bad idea. Up at 5.45 for a two day trip to Kangaroo Island. A small bus this time. Three Japs (didn't speak English), Six Swiss (chose not to speak English), myself and an English girl (sat at back of the bus), which meant that I pretty much got my own private tour of the Island!
