Greetings from Bendigo even though this photo was taken in Melbourne on Friday. We have had a very busy few days on Thursday night we met our friend Clare for a meal and went up Lygon St for Italian. I forgot to take an umbrella and got soaked walking up there but when we left it had stopped and it was so nice walking back to the hotel with all the lights of the buildings and people everywhere. Where we used to walk a few times a day to transport there was a tall building and the footpath was always crowded with people outside smoking, you had to force your way through. Chris called it cancer corner!!!!!
We had a good couple of days in the city we had no sooner got back to Mornington when it was time to go to Mark's parents house where we had a lovely meal. Then it was off home and up early early in the morning to go to the Boneo Market down on the Peninsula which had great food and fruit and veges and all sorts of things. Then back home for lunch and then Alina Emily and I went shopping to Frankston for a couple of hours then home to yummy pork belly for dinner.
Sunday dawned a lovely day so off we took for a walk by the water,we bought fresh oysters and calamari which we had for dinner last night yum yum William had his first raw oyster and loved it.
Well today it was time to say goodbye to the organised part of the journey and take off into the big blue yonder with no time frames. We have only driven through Bendigo to get to our free campsite but shall go back tomorrow as there seems to be a lot to see there are some beautiful old buildings.
