We headed to Glen Helen Gorge this morning. The Macdonnell Ranges have lots of beautiful gorges for swimming. We had to get some supplies at the local Alice Springs shopping centre and I have to say it was exciting to have a couple of shops to look at...
We met Michelle and Adrian at the Gorge and set up camp for the night. We decided to explore Ormiston Gorge after lunch. It was a short walk from the car park and we had a great swim. Now I generally like to know what's under my feet while swimming but this sandy gorge was great, and lets face it when it's this hot you will swim anywhere. That afternoon we took some spectacular photos of Glen Helen Gorge and the kids had another swim. I really envie the people of Alice having such great camping spots to visit on a regular basis.
I really wanted to be a party animal on this trip but I find myself going to bed earlier and earlier :)) to much exploring lately and not enough relaxing.
