Alarm went at 7am checked out the hotel at 7.45 and started driving towards Christchurch. It was pouring with rain. Took a detour and stopped off at Akaroa Like a little french village very pretty. However the temperate has dropped to 14 degrees went for a coffee and cake. Got back to the hotel at 6.45 pm dropped off the hire car had a couple of beers in the bar then up to room for room service and an early night

Up at 8.30 across the road from our hotel was the steam boat ride. Boarded at 10am for a trip across the lake and back took an hour and half. Got in our car and drove To wanaka. A Long winding drive up in the mountains and down again some very steep roads. Wanaka is famous for the tree that Grows in the lake. Had lunch in alchemy restaurant. Left Christchurch at 8.30 am had a hire car and drove to Queenstown. Such lovely views on the way. Stopped at Twizel for lunch. Also stoped off at other places on the way to take photos. Saw a group of stags absolutely amazing Arrived in Queenstown around 5pm checked into hotel and then went out for a wander and an early dinner

Alarm went at 6.30 left hotel at 7.30 for a taxi to the station to go on transalpine ride to greymouth. And wow what amazing views we loved it. New Zealand is so Picturesque. It took 4 hours to get to Greymouth then an hour there for a quick bit of lunch and then back to Christchurch for 7.30 pm. In hindsight what we should’ve done was get the train to Greymouth hired a car and then moved on from there however we had a lovely day got back to the hotel in Christ...

Had a lie in as tired from the late night. Helen and Carl didn’t get up till 11:30 am wandered round the corner and found a lovely place for breakfast then took a tram ride around the city stopped off at the botanical Gardens and walked around saw some lovely plants and trees and walked through the rose gardens.
