Alarm went off at 8am went for breakfast and checked out of hotel.
Taxi to the airport cost was $55 Singapore dollars.
We were flying air Asia to Bali used the self check in with the bags and to get boarding passes all had to juggle a few pieces of clothes around the bags to make sure all 20kg.
Was amazed how clean the airport was with carpet everywhere.
Once we had checked in our bags and gone through security we sat down Looked at the computer and booked the flights from cairns in Australia to Sydney costing $811.58 Australia dollars
Boarded the flight and took off on time at 12.15. Not quite sure how we did it but had one meal turn up then they gave us 4 more as complimentary for upgrade of baggage ! Need to really check all boxes when buying tickets ! Anyway nice meal of chicken and rice and spaghetti With meat. Landed at 15.05 but took nearly 2 hours to get through customs. We had booked a transfer to the hotel but were hassled big time by both taxi drivers and porters wanting to carry your bag. They really hassled Carl for money but he said he only had what he had which was about £12!
Got a ride to our hotel and what a difference to Singapore! Lots of Mopeds looks really dirty and overcrowded. Got to our hotel and it was in the back streets but a pleasant surprise. A nice small pool and restaurant area. Ended up staying in the hotel for dinner. Feels like it’s been a long day
