(21 October)

This morning we got up early to try and fit as much sightseeing in as possible. We left at around half 8 and Holly, Anna, Laura, Claire and I rented bikes and headed for the beach! It was a good ride away but fun on the bikes...not quite as scary as in China! I bought a dress and new bikini on the way to the beach haha, starting to get funny tan lines from the clothes I brought with me! The beach was nice but not as nice as the previous one, still good for a lie down though. Holly and Anna baffled the locals by squeezing "lemons" (which were green and looked like limes) in their hair to try and get it to go lighter, and we jut chilled out for a bit. Most of us had to go and check the fitting of our clothes we were getting made/pick them up, so we left the beach and cycled back into town for about 1. Some of them weren't ready yet and we had every intention of going sightseeing but it was stupidly hot!! So Anna, Holly and I headed back to the hotel pool for a bit to cool down! Then we went for a cycle around town to see some of the town, like the Market streets, Japanese bridge, and the other side of the river. We stopped for food in a restaurant along the river and I had spring rolls and a banana pancake, yum! By that time we had to go back for our dress fittings, and had arranged to meet Claire and Laura there. Holly and I were finished fairly quickly but Anna had to wait about a bit for some of her dresses, so we left her to it and went for a cycle. It was really nice, got outside the cultural heritage touristy bit which was cool to see the actual town, and saw more of where the vietnamese actually live. We also caught the sunset as we went over the bridge which was pretty cool! Then headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner!

The 5 of us had dinner together, then went to say hi to some of the others who were in a bar. Then we cycled round for a bit, and the others decided to go back while Holly and I went to a bar for a drink. It was really good craic, stupidly cheap and we were talking to a group from Liverpool who had done Thailand and Laos already which was good! Had a good night!
