Happy St Patrick's Day!

Had a really good day today, but it was a bit mad! Checked out of my hostel and left my big rucksack in storage there, and packed a small bag which I took to Kat's hostel - there were no beds left in Melbourne for Saturday night by the time I got there! We chilled out at hers for a bit decorating ourselves with the crazy amount of green stuff she had bought for the occasion! It was very fun. Then we met Wayne and the boys for a few drinks! We went to a place called cookie which had a rooftop bar which was really nice! Then we looked for an Irish bar and found one called PJ O'Briens. It was absolutely buzzing! Live bands on, packed with people, I felt like I was in Ireland with all the accents around me!

After an hour or two there we went for some food in the food court nearby and I got a really nice chicken and pasta thing which was awesome! Then back to PJ O'Briens to get the boys. We had heard there was a festival type thing somewhere so were going to look for that but then the boys decided they wanted to go to a club...in the afternoon...so we split from them and went to St Kilda. We stopped at Base hostel for a drink but it was fairly empty and we met some really unbelievably rude American guys so made a fairly swift exit. We headed to a bar called Elephant & Wheelbarrow which was also packed - the guy Jerome that Kat was sharing a room with had said he was there so we went to find him.

We ended up staying there all night! We lost Kat around 11 because Jerome had to leave because his brother got arrested for some reason, but I stayed on with Karissa who had met some people she knew from when she lived in Cairns the year before!

At about 3 or 4 the pub closed and we went to get food - ended up in a sit down restaurant with table service (nowhere has table service in Australia!!) eating pizza haha. One of the guys had spaghetti bolognese pizza - pizza with spaghetti bolognese on top, pasta and all! Absolutely mad haha. After food we went back to their house as they had a spare room where Karissa and I could sleep seeing as I didn't have a hostel for the night!
