Evening walk along the Seine
We decided to go for a walk along the Seine as it was a glorious night and with no fixed destination went down to the river to see the sights. We crossed various bridges stopping to look at all manner of interesting things on the way including the various tourist boats of all shapes and sizes, children playing on river edge playgrounds, people jogging, cycling and others dining out and just enjoying the lifestyle of Paris. We were amazed at the number of alfresco dining areas along the river with thousands of people enjoying the services provided and many hundreds more opting for BYO dinners from groups of 2 to 20 or more and families also adding to the atmosphere. The river edge has been turned from an industrial look area to a quite refined and shared public area with lots of seating, pop up cafés, toilets, playgrounds, exercise areas and even river barges with tree parks and gardens planted on them giving a really relaxed feel to the river bank. We eventually ended up at the Eiffel Tower which was still very crowded even at 9:30pm with people still lining up for a trip to the top for the magnificent views.

Gaylene & John Sounds like you are enjoying the long warm days in Paris. We remember dining with the locals at 10pm in Paris which was not unusual. Estelle would regularly meet her au pair friends on the banks of the Seine in the evenings. Have fun!
Shelley Loving the photos guys. You make us very jealous, thanks so much for the commentary on each so we can get a feel for the place. It looks lovely.
