GERMANY - DAY 2
We lounged around the hotel until it was time to head to the tour. We caught the tram across the river to the end of its run. We were helped to find the correct tram (because the one we thought would take us all the way no longer runs there) and we sat watching the school children playing across the road until the tram arrived.
We boarded it and again travelled to the end of its run. We could have waited for the bus but decided it was such a beautiful day that we would walk the dozen or so blocks to the hotel.
We arrived at the Sheraton, met our tour director, Paul, and headed to our rooms. We relaxed until our city tour started at 4pm.
We were taken into the city of Frankfurt to the medieval Pomerplatz. The buildings were beautiful and had been rebuilt in the medieval style. We wandered down to the Eisenersteg Bridge. We took panorama shots of Frankfurt skyline standing from the middle of the bridge, then headed back to the square.
That night we had a meet and greet dinner and found out all about our tour. We have to say that from initial impressions this tour is going to be so much better than our last. We are all excited about heading off tomorrow.
