Donnas South American Adventure
7th Apri
Left at 7am and stopped at the Chauchilla Cemetary which dates back to AD 1000. You can see Nazca bones, skulls and mummies. Until recently these bones were scattered haphazardly across the desert, left by ransacking grave robbers. They have been carefully rearranged inside 12 tombs.
Arrived in Nazca at 11.30am and set up camp on a nice green grassed area. After lunch went on a 30 min flight over the Nazca lines. These lines are impressive and one of Peru's enigmatic achievements. The flight was bumpy and everyone was in awe of the extensive lines and drawings, the Condor was 136 metres.
