My FINAL blog!!! CANNOT BELIEVE I'm on my last day away

So Bali was amazing! Had 12 really great days there I loved every second of it and would definately go back...We stayed at the Niksoma Hotel for 4 nights which was fab...the staff were so so friendly...we got a free neck and shoulder massage when we checked in which was nice....our room was really good and in a nice spot....pool was soooo lovely! You could lay on some tiles in the middle of the pool and sunbathe! Every night the staff came to fold your bed sheets down ready for sleeping and left little cakes on the bed side cabinet....and the people round the pool were lovely too! Think I spoke to 1 english person the whole time....everyone was australian as its only a couple of hours flight away so thats where a lot of people go on their holidays....so we did a bit more shopping and had some gorgeous meals at night....everywhere was lovely!

Then we went up to Ubud for the last 3 nights - our taxi driver that took us up there was crazy! After about 15 minutes I was exhausted as he spoke so much....nice man though telling us about his family and his 'bali dogs' - he thinks they only have 1 breed of dog in bali! he was telling us about how they kill their dogs when they get sick as they dont have vets there because no one can afford them....apparently they just hit them over the head with a wooden plank! quite graphic....just brought home once again how differently people live in Asia....

So our final place to stay was ok .....had a pool area and our room was quite big - needed a lick of paint though - but other than that and a few ants (they really hurt when they bite!) it was fine - the staff were really friendly and looked after us as well....we did lots of shopping in Ubud and again had some really lovely meals out in the evening....

Sunday (yesterday) we flew back to Bangkok and I had to say bye to Terri at the airport (Terri has flown up to Chiang Mai as she had 2 more weeks left before she goes home)....that was quite sad...I will really miss her - we have shared some really great days together and some very special moments over the last 3 months...

So my time is nearly over! I am in Bangkok ....got to hotel early evening yesterday and had a walk around and then chilled out at night (didnt fancy roaming around on my own in Bangkok)...today I'm doing some last minute sunbathing (I'm convinced I haven't caught the sun on my face!) and a spot of shopping and I travel to the airport at 9:30pm tonight to fly home...

Cant believe how fast the last 3 months have gone....Its been the most amazing experience....something I would recommend to everyone to do - Now I'm just killing time before I see my wonderful family tomorrow something I am very excited about (and all my lovely friends of course!!)

Thanks for keeping in touch so well while I've been away its been lovely to hear from everyone and stopped me feeling home sick! Glad you have enjoyed reading my blogs...hopefully they have made for entertaining reading!!
