Arrived Cairns safe n sound at 8pm, flight took 2 hours, picked up our hire car and set off to Port Douglas just an hour’s drive north from Cairns via a winding coastal road, the Great Barrier Reef Drive, along the edge of the Coral Sea. The drive actually made me feel sick it was so twisty. Unfortunately it was dark when we arrived so we will see this spectacular view when we drive back to the airport to drop kick Paul on Saturday. We are staying at Cayman villas - it is very very nice, Mike had to fight Paul for the room with the ensuite jacuzzi bath although he has an ensuite in his room. (Who's 25th wedding anniversary are we celebrating)!!
