Happy Easter
Sunday 20th April
We didn't wake up until 12.30, we must have needed the sleep. Last night's taxi driver said it was 19 degrees and cold, he was all wrapped up I think he was an aboriginal. It's not cold to us.
Today we made our way down to the quay side which was 5 or 10 mins walk. Sydney is buzzing, we sat at the Opera bar for drinks and food it's right next to the opera house with views of the harbour and bridge, there is a big cruise liner in at the moment. We also had a walk in the botanic gardens, lots of people sitting about having picnics, but we made a sharp exit as we thought we had more interesting things to see.
We found ourselves in Guyljans chocolate shop having drinks and ice cream.
From there we went on to the Rocks market, lots of lovely crafts being sold it was quite a busy street with pubs and cafe's. From here we decided to do the harbour bridge we hadn't planned to climb the bridge, we walked across it and walked up the pylon, stunning views and great photos. (The cruise liner, Carnival Spirit) has now left Sydney harbour, it gave 3 blows on the horn saying goodbye).
Early hours of Monday morning from about 2am till 6am the 3 of us where up having drinks and biscuits - our body clocks where all to pot. Mike was going to go out for a walk, but me and Paul talked him out of the idea.
