We've rethought how much time we have allocated to each place, and we're going to spend less time in each place - thereby ending up in the US earlier - end of May. This will mean more money per day which is a good thing! We are not, in fact, budget travellers anymore. These things change - either you get used to being more comfortable, or you get used to not being bored in a place because you have too much time and too little money - either way it's the same thing I guess!

So roll on the rest of the trip - it won't be diamonds and pearls but it will be a little faster, and suspect there'll be more to see on the East Coast. My personal view - Perth and Western Australia are nice, in a nothing to see sort of way....
