We had all good intentions to get up early & head to the Panama Canal this morning, but we failed miserably! Instead, as Rach spoke to her folks on Skype & her Mummy & Daddy had very kindly sent her some money for her Birthday, we instead went shopping! (I say we, but I obviously mean Rach! But as shopping is one of her passions & she's not been in about 6 months, then I thought it was only fair.) So a quick lunch in the mall was followed for Rach by about 3-4 hours of pure unadultered spoiling herself. Bless the beams on her face when she'd finished & had herself an additional change of wardrobe or 2.
Anyone would think it was her Birthday soon! After the extravagant afternoon we felt like a cheap evening was called for, so strolled round the corner to Niko's cafe for a $9 buffet dinner! Our place had a bit of a party tonight so we had a couple of beers in the courtyard with the German girl & the hostel owner before retiring.
